The group of images above show a great view of just how far out and away from it all Edna Bay
really is. As you can see, if you leave the bay and go west, there is not very much else left
between us and the Pacific Ocean. Kosciusko really is out on the edge, and extremely remote -
as are all of the other islands in the area. The island itself has an extensive road
system that was left behind from the decades of logging that was done here, but there is no
road access to the island at all. There is also no physical land bridge between this island
and any of the surrounding islands. Even though the North end of the island appears to be
connected to Prince of Wales Island, it is not. The only way to get to and from the island is by
boat or plane.
Edna Bay is off the beaten path to say the least...
